The Will of Ann Willis

Ann Willis was the second wife of Francis Willis. It mentions her half brothers Ashforth and some half-nephews and nieces.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Willis of Greatford in the County of Lincoln Widow First I give and bequeath to each of my Half Nephews and Nieces George William Francis Elizabeth and Henry the five Children of my late Half Brother George Ashforth of Gainsborough in the said The County of Lincoln Victualler deceased the Sum of Fifty Pounds a piece to be paid to them by my Executor hereinafter mentioned as they shall severally attain the age of Twenty one years I give and bequeath unto each of my Half Nephews and Nieces Elizabeth Ann and Thomas the three Children of my Half Brother Thomas Asforth of Lea in the said County of Lincoln Farmer the sum of Fifty Pounds each to be paid to them within three Months next after my decease And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Money and Securities for Money Stock in the Public Funds Household Goods Plate Linen China Effects and the Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same unto my said Half Brother Thomas Ashforth of Lea aforesaid Farmer to and for his absolute use and disposal But subject to the payment of my just debts Legacies Funeral and Testamentary Expenses And also Subject to and Annuity or clear yearly sum of Fifteen Pounds to be paid unto my Half Brother Samuel Ashforth of Gainsborough aforesaid yeoman by two half yearly payments that is to say on the Twenty ninth day of September and the Twenty fifth day of March in each and every year the first payment thereof to begin and be made on the first of the said days of payment which shall first happen next after my decease And I do nominate and appoint my said Half Brother Thomas Ashforth Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Ann Willis the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal the Twenty fourth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and thirteen LAO LCC Wills /1813/284
